Meet painter Linn Bae and her oil paintings: vivid, deeply textured still lifes.
Educated in Seoul and Hartford, Hartford-based painter Linn Bae has been showing her memorable still lifes and self-portraits since the year 2000. This is her first exhibition in Canton.
The exhibit runs through Sunday, February 28.

Anti-Cancer Salad

Anti-Cancer Raw Milk Kefir Cheese/Quark (uncooked casein) with garlic, cilantro, onion, sea salt and cayenne pepper.

I will blog soon about how living (uncooked) and fermented Anti-Cancer Kefir, made from organic raw (unpasturized) milk, can be separated into cheese/quark/casein (prevents the breakdown of muscle, may help prevent cancer, is used in the Budwig Diet to treat cancer and induces myelopoiesis) and whey (builds muscle and strong bones, and may help prevent and treat cancer) and how each milk protein can be used safely in an Anti-Cancer diet:
Whey protein is included in the daily menu of all advanced or metastatic cancer patients. When treating cancers that are stable or have regressed in size, patients then have the option of including other protein foods at their breakfast meals such as cottage cheese (casein), yogurt, or soy foods.

Faux Painting: Zebra Print Floorcloth

Zebra print floorcloth that I just finished painting with black faux felt pinking edge (made with heavy-duty faux leather for durability).

This one is now available at Pia Sjolin Design in Canton, CT.
Or you may custom order one in any size or shape from me directly.

All floorcloths are hand-painted on doubel primed heavy-weight canvas using water-based paints and three coats of water-based polyurethane. They are finished with a coat of wax for added protection.

Perfect in front of the kitchen sink or under high-chairs, for easy clean up of spills.

I have one friend who is ordering one to put under her African Gray's bird cage. I think that is a great idea!

I will post more designs as I complete them. I am working on a Safari series right now. My intention is to create exotic and organic designs that will look even better with age and wear. I am inspired by African and tribal art and also, the glazed concrete floors at Whole Foods Markets.

Larger floorcloths can be made for use under dining room or dinette tables and smaller ones for under pet bowls.
