My Anti-Cancer Treatments: Carrot Juice

From Ann Wigmore, Living Foods News:
This king of vegetable juices is extremely high in pro-vitamin A, which the body converts to vitamin A. It also contains vitamins B, C, D, E and K, as well as calcium, phosphorous, potassium, sodium and trace minerals. The alkaline minerals contained in carrot juice, especially calcium and magnesium, help to soothe and tone the intestinal walls, plus strengthen bones and teeth. Skin, hair and nails benefit from its high protein and mineral content. Fresh carrot juice stimulates digestion and has a mild diuretic effect. Perhaps its most important contribution to body health is its tonic and cleansing effect on the liver. Through regular use, carrot juice helps the liver release stale bile and excess fats. When fat levels are reduced, cholesterol levels are reduced.

There is no such thing as a toxic dose of carrot juice. While it's true that it's possible to "overdose" on vitamin A, it's impossible to overdose on pro-vitamin A - the precursor to vitamin A that is found in abundance in carrot juice. Pro-vitamin A is converted to vitamin A in the body. Drinking more than five glasses of carrot juice per week may cause the skin to yellow slightly; however this is simply a manifestation of the toxins that the liver is excreting. To reduce these effects, simply decrease the dose of carrot juice. Mixed with other juices, especially sprout and green juices, carrot juice acts as a balancing element. It adds a delicious, sweet flavor to juice combinations and increases both their digestibility and nutritional value. As an overall tonic and rejuvenator, carrot juice can't be beat.
Okay. Confession. I have been on a beta carotene bender for the past six weeks, and really have been turning a bizarre shade of yellow-orange. I have been drinking about a quart of carrot juice per day. I feel much better when I drink carrot juice. I believe it's because vitamin A increases intracranial pressure, and mine is very low. It also helps anemia, which I have, and poor night vision, which I also have, but I think I'll add some blueberries and see if I can tone myself down a tad.

I was going to post the picture below unedited, to show how orange my skin looks now compared to my friend Jason's skin, but it's a little embarrassing. Perhaps I will work up the courage in a few days.

For now, I'd rather just have some fun concealing my new true colors with Andy Warhol-like photo effects and pretending they are auras . . . .

Orange: Inspiring
Green: Natural Healing Ability
Pink: Love
Awwwwwwwwwww . . . .

Carrot Juice: Key To Rejuvenating The Liver:
Carrot juice is a specific for calcifying poor teeth and can correct faulty circulation.

In the treatment of disease it is important to alkalinize the body and carrot juice has been demonstrated to rapidly achieve this objective through cleansing of the liver and improving the quality of the blood. Carrot juice is very effective in correcting chronic infections such as tonsillitis, colitis and appendicitis. It has also been used in the treatment of anemia, blood poisoning, ulcers, rheumatism, acne and all forms of cancer.

Carrot Diet and Juice

Disease Proof: Lymphoma:
Population studies show an association between high dietary intake of carotenoid-containing fruits and vegetables and reduced risk of prostate, breast, and head and neck cancers. A high dietary intake of fruits and vegetables provides a spectrum of carotenoids, including alphacarotene, gamma-carotene, betacryptoxanthin, zeaxanthin, lutein, and lycopene. Vegetable juices (carrot, tomato, spinach, and other greens) represent a particularly potent form of carotenoids. Scientists have demonstrated that drinking carrot juice significantly reduces free radical damage to genes.
From: Carrots and The Candida Diet (See: Fungus As The Cause of Cancers):
Carrots are a very controversial food on the candida diet, I have seen one yeast infection diet say yes and the next say no. Now they are a simple sugar when digested, but they are also an antifungal and keep the yeast infection from spreading. I just had to go on what the Mycologists said on this one, which is to eat them, raw. If you cook carrots it raises the glycemic index to double that of a raw carrot.

Good candida yeast diet foods for breakfast: Grapefruit and vegetable juices are good, especially fresh carrot juice with a clove of garlic.

The method of juicing seems to be very important. Most common centrifugal juicers are said to destroy the living enzymes in the juice while twin gear juicers preserve them.

Hi Juhana!! I have a centrifugal....an old Acme Supreme Juicerator 6001. I will put a twin gear juicer on my Christmas list this year!
Thanks,
Dana

Hooray! I also have a very ancient Acme juicer. The research says that this juicer is very good IF you drink it right away. Even better than the ones that remove the pulp to a separate container. You get more extraction of the enzymes when the pulp spins against the walls. Save your money on the twin gear unless you plan on storing it. But why wait? It's best immediately.

Hi Lo,

I do drink my carrot and veggie juices right away.....but I am thinking of getting a Green Star for juicing wheatgrass.

I love the ancient Acme!

Thanks for the link to your website, I will link to you on my blog! You have some great tips on there!!

Twin gear juicer is so great especially for those who don not like veggies. They can make the vegetables into juice and they can still get the same nutrients. I already bought one for myself.

Hello
I stumbled on to your account.
In reference to your 'orange'
complexion...if you do a little more research you will see that the only reason you turn a little shade of orange is from the bile from your liver dumping into your
system..just as you can get excess oil on your skin from greasy foods
you can show a tinge of orange from your liver 'dumping' toxins into your system to remove them.
Don't take my word..there's lots of info out there. Good luck!
